April 5th 8th (Wed Sat) 30th Newcastle Beer Festival at Students Union, Newcastle University, Kings Walk, Newcastle upon Tyne. (2 mins walk from Haymarket Metro)
Over 100 ales and ciders from around the country. Open Wed 6 10.30pm, Thurs & Fri 12 noon 10.30pm, Sat 12 noon 7.00pm.
Admission including souvenir glass and programme £2.50 lunchtime, £3.00 evenings. Free admission to CAMRA members at all times.

The Scottish Traditional Beer Festival will again feature the largest range of Scottish real ales assembled under one roof! Some bottle continental beer and real ciders will also be on sale. |

There is also foreign beer from England and the Continent as well as cider. The 2005 Champion Beer of Scotland was announced on Thursday 16th June and the winning beer was Black Gold brewed by Cairngorm Brewery. Black Gold is a great Scottish Stout and winning this award follows on from Cairngorm's success last year with Tradewinds.

BREWING, FOOD & BEVERAGE INDUSTRY SUPPLIERS ASSOCIATION - In anticipation of potentially restrictive Government legislation, BFBi was originally formed as the Allied Brewery Traders Association (ABTA).
